Beloved in Christ, dear brothers and sisters, and beloved Ukrainian people!

With reverence of heart and prayer on our lips, we address you on this solemn and deeply responsible day - the Day of Unity of Ukraine.

This feast is not only a historical remembrance of the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian lands, but also a profound spiritual symbol of the unity of our people: unity of hearts, unity of faith, and unity of responsibility for the land and life entrusted to us by God.

Unity is not merely borders on a map. Unity is the spiritual communion of generations. Unity is living memory. Unity is a nation bound together by prayer, truth, and sacrificial love.

The Ukrainian land is not merely territory. It is sacred land. It is the land upon which our people were born, prayed, suffered, and rose again. It is land watered by the tears of mothers and the blood of martyrs. It is land soaked with the sacrifice of those who throughout history have risen to defend the sacred right of the human person to life, freedom, dignity, and faith.

Today this holy land groans once more in pain. Today it is drenched with the blood of children, mothers, fathers, soldiers, and innocent civilians. Today a brutal, unjust, and godless war is being waged against Ukraine.

The Russian aggression is not only an assault on the sovereignty of the Ukrainian state. It is an assault on the sanctity of human life. It is an assault on the God-given gift of freedom. It is an assault on the dignity of the human person, created in the image and likeness of God.

Cities and villages lie in ruins. Churches have been destroyed. Families are shattered. Children are abducted. Civilians are tortured. Lives are broken.

And yet, in the midst of this darkness, the Ukrainian people stand - standing in truth, standing in faith, standing in prayer, standing in sacrificial love.

Today Ukraine stands not only for its territorial integrity. She stands for the right to life. For human dignity. For freedom of conscience. For the sanctity of the family. For the future of children. For the right of a people to live in truth, faith, and freedom.

We, the Archpastors of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA and Diaspora, lift up our united prayer for the defenders of Ukraine, for doctors, volunteers, chaplains, for mothers and children, for refugees and the wounded, for all who bear the heavy burden of war.

May the Lord strengthen our people in unity. May the Most Holy Birth-giver of God cover Ukraine with Her holy omophorion. May truth overcome darkness. May love overcome hatred. May life overcome death.

For where Christ is - there is victory. Where there is prayer - there is strength. Where there is unity - there is an unconquerable Ukraine.

Возлюблені у Христі брати і сестри, дорогий український народ!

З благоговінням серця і молитвою на устах звертаємося до вас у цей світлий і водночас відповідальний день - День Соборності України.

Це свято є не лише історичним спомином про Акт Злуки українських земель, але й глибоким духовним символом єдності нашого народу, єдності сердець, єдності віри, єдності відповідальності за даровану нам Богом землю і життя.

Соборність - це не лише кордони на мапі. Соборність - це духовна спільність поколінь. Соборність - це жива пам’ять. Соборність - це єдність народу, об’єднаного молитвою, правдою і жертовною любов’ю.

Українська земля - це не просто територія. Це свята земля. Це земля, на якій народ наш народився, молився, страждав і воскресав. Це земля, политa сльозами матерів і кров’ю мучеників. Це земля, просочена жертвою тих, хто в усі часи ставав на захист права людини на життя, свободу, гідність і віру.

Сьогодні ця свята земля знову стогне від болю. Сьогодні вона зрошена кров’ю дітей, матерів, батьків, воїнів і мирних людей. Сьогодні проти України ведеться жорстока, несправедлива і безбожна війна.

Російська агресія є замахом не лише на державний суверенітет України. Це замах на святість людського життя. Це замах на Божий дар свободи. Це замах на гідність людини, створеної за образом і подобою Божою.

Знищені міста і села. Зруйновані храми. Розбиті родини. Викрадені діти. Закатовані мирні мешканці. Знівечені долі.

І серед цього мороку український народ стоїть - стоїть у правді, стоїть у вірі, стоїть у молитві, стоїть у жертовній любові.

Сьогодні Україна стоїть не лише за свою територіальну цілісність. Вона стоїть за право на життя. За гідність людини. За свободу совісті. За святість родини. За майбутнє дітей. За право народу жити у правді, вірі та свободі.

Ми, архіпастирі Української Православної Церкви в США та Діаспорі, підносимо спільну молитву за всіх захисників України, за медиків, волонтерів, капеланів, за матерів і дітей, за переселенців і поранених, за всіх, хто несе на собі тягар війни.

Нехай Господь укріпить наш народ у єдності. Нехай Пресвята Богородиця покриє Україну Своїм омофором.Нехай правда переможе темряву. Нехай любов переможе ненависть. Нехай життя переможе смерть.

Бо там, де є Христос - там є перемога. Там, де є молитва - там є сила. Там, де є соборність - там є непереможна Україна.
