Parish Feast Day with Metropolitan Antony!

Sunday, June 23rd 2013, His Eminence Metropolitan Antony made a pastoral visit to Holy Trinity Church in Trenton, NJ. to celebrate the Feast Day of Pentecost. It was a special day for all those who prayed that day with the Metropolitan. During the procession into the church the children greeted Vladyko and threw flower petals before his path. The cross led the procession and behind followed the banners. His Eminence was welcomed at the doors of the Church by a gift of flowers presented by Olha Komarets, and the traditional greeting of bread offered by parish board president David Dubnanski. Then at the doors of the nave His Eminence was greeted by Fr. Zinoviy Zharsky with words of joy.

The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was then led by Metropolitan Anthony and joined by Fr. Zinoviy, and Fr. Vasyl Dmytryshyn from St. Sophia Seminary. It was a great joy to pray with the seminarians on that day, among them where: Volodymyr Sukanets Sr, Volodymyr Sukanets Jr, Volodymyr Yavorsky (who have come from Ukraine to study at St. Sophia's), and Eduardo Gonsalves (from our sister church in Brazil).

The church was decorated in green, and everyone who was present at the Divine Liturgy had the opportunity to commune with the divine energy, feel the power of the Holy Spirit, and listen to a very meaningful sermon by his Eminence Antony.

On that special day, the parish family greeted a new convert into the Orthodox Faith, Xenia Perna, who received for the first time the mystery of Holy Communion.

Following Divine Liturgy, the Pentecost Vespers service was served and everyone again, had the chance to listen to the spiritually uplifting words of kneeling prayers. At the end, everyone was anointed with blessed oil. Grateful thanks to the choir, under the leadership of Taras Pavlosky, beautifying the services with their voices.

After the services everyone enjoyed a festive lunch and a concert. Grateful thanks for the Sisterhood and all those who helped cook the delicious lunch. Metropolitan Antony with thanksgiving gave everyone who prepared the meal a beautiful red rose. Fr. Peter Levko and Pani Maria from St. George's in Yardville U.O.C. NJ. along with Fr. John Diamantis from St. Volodymyr's O.C.A in Trenton, NJ. came to share the joy with the parish family. During the concert the children of the “Red Poppy Seed” ensemble enthusiastically danced and brought great joy to those watching them. The director of the group is, Gregory Momot, a professional dancer from Ukraine. It is a great honor to have this group practice every Saturday at Holy Trinity's church hall. Also during the concert, everyone heard the poems of Pani Maria Koltutska. Pani Maria was published a book of her poetry in Ukrainian and gifted a copy to Metropolitan Antony.

People did not want to leave and stayed for a long time socializing with each other. Indeed is was a feast day of the soul. Thank you everyone for coming and celebrating this feast day together!

Apxипастирський Візит до Свято-Троїцької Церкви в Трентоні

У Неділю 23 червня Високопреосвященніший митрополит Антоній звершив пастирський візит до Свято-Троїцької церкви в Трентоні, штат Нью-Джерсі в день свята П'ятидесятниці. Це був особливий день для всіх тих хто молився в той день з Митрополитом. Під час процесії до церкви діти вітали Владику і розкидали пелюстки квітів на його шляху. Хрест несли попереду процесію а позаду йшли з хоругвами. Ольга Комарець з квітами зустрічала Владику біля дверей Церкви, також голова парафіяльної управи Давид Дубнянський вітав Митрополита за нашим українським звичаєм з короваєм. При вході до церкви от. Зіновій Жарський зустрічав Митрополита зі словами радості.

Під час Божественної літургії митрополиту Антонію співслужили от. Зіновій, та от. Василь Дмитришин від семінарії Святої Софії. Також була велика радість молитися разом з семінаристами нашої духовної семінарії: братами Володимирами Суканець, Володимиром Яворським (які приїхалина навчання з України) та Едуардо Гонсалвес (від нашої сестри церкви в Бразилії).

У цей день церква була прикрашена в зелений колір, і всі хто був присутній на Божественній літургії мали можливість спілкуватися і відчути силу Духа Святого, і чути глибоко духовну проповідь Митрополита Антонія.

У цей особливий день, парафіяльна родина вітала новонаверну в православну вір, Ксенію Перну, яка в перший раз прийняла Святе Причастя.

Наприкінці була звершена вечірня з читанням коліноприклонних молитов, і всі знову мали можливість послухати прекрасно - духовні слова молитви. На закінчення Архипастир помазав тих хто молився святим єлеєм.

Велике спасибі хору під керівництвом Тараса Павловського, за те що вони прикрасили богослужіння своїми голосами.

Після богослужіння всі насолоджувалися святковим обідом та концертом. Велике спасибі сестрицтву і всім хто допомагав готувати смачний обід. Митрополит Антоній з подякою до всіх хто готував обід дав їм червоні троянди. От. Петро Левко і пані Марія з церкви Св. Юрія у Ярдвіл, разом з от. Іваном Діамантос з церкви Св. Володимира П.Ц.А. в Трентоні, були присутні на обіді і розділили з нами радість свята.

Під час концерту діти з ансамблю “Червоні маки" з ентузіазмом танцювали на сцені церковного залу і принесли велику радість всім хто спостерігав за ними. Художній керівник цього гурту є професійний танцюрист з України, Григорій Момот. Це велика радість що діти кожну суботу проводять репетиції в церковній залі Святої Трійці. Також під час концерту всі почули вірші Добродійки Марії Колтуцької. Пані Марія видала книгу її поезій українською мовою та подарувала копію Митрополиту Антонію.

Люди не хотіли розходитись, і залишалися протягом тривалого часу спілкуючись один з одним. Справді, це було свято душі. Спасибі Вам Владико Антоній, та всім Вам за те що ми мали можливість святкувати це свято разом на славу Бога!
