Dear Reverend Fathers, Youth Leaders, and Church School Directors,

Souper Bowl Sunday 2010, with all its excitement and opportunity to show that our churches care, will be here very soon! Join with us in our 12th consecutive Souper Bowl of Caring by mobilizing your parish to feed the poor and care for the needy here in the US and abroad. This is a great way to involve your youth in our churches' social service ministry.

And it's easy! Just follow the simple guidelines here and let your youth become Souper Bowl MVPs! Your youth can collect donations on or near February 7, 2010 and direct the collected donations to the local charity of your choice or IOCC.

Let's carry the excitement of Super Bowl Sunday into the homes and lives of people in need throughout our country and the world: $200 collected from your parish youth can provide a refugee with vocational training; $100 can provide a child in a developing nation with their first wheelchair or help to deliver 20,000 books for inner-city schools right here in the U.S.

It's a simple but significant act that reminds us what is truly important. Your youth will make a positive difference. Join hundreds of Orthodox parishes that will use the Souper Bowl of Caring as an opportunity to demonstrate that Orthodox Christians care about the hungry. And support IOCC while you do it.
