2008 SUMMER ENCAMPMENTS
It is with great joy that we greet you on behalf of our Ukrainian Orthodox Church Camping Programs. As you know these programs are the jewel of our youth programming. They provide our youth and families with the unique experience to live their Orthodox faith on a daily basis, learn about and appreciate their Ukrainian culture and create life-long bonds of friendship.
The dates for our 2008 encampments are:
Diocesan Church School Camp - June 21 - July 5 (Begins one day early on Saturday)
All Saint Camp Chapel Consecration Celebration - June 21 - 22
Teenage Conference - July 6 -19 (50th Anniversary Homecoming Weekend July 11-13)
Mommy & Me/Daddy & Me - August 4 - 8
These programs are one of the best places for young Orthodox to live their faith, learn about their heritage and make life-long friendship bonds (as many of you know!)
However, to keep these camps alive we need caring, talented individuals willing to give of their time to serve as staff. These camps are also an amazing opportunity for us as adults to grow in the faith, mentor young people who may have the same struggles we did, and even gain job experience.
